Bitwarden Enterprise Password Manager

Bitwarden released its Single-Sign-On Feature with the latest update to its Enterprise Tier Accounts a short while ago, and we’re here for it.

It’s a very flexible solution that can work in any application, as it can be self-hosted and is available on just about every device. That may very well be the best thing about Bitwarden, as a product, it has been design for everyone.

Bitwarden comes with a plethora of features for really, any organization, all provided in a cohesive way and at a very reasonable cost

Already one of the best password managers for it's open source nature, and simplicity of use, this new feature set is a welcome one. Being a cyber security company, much of the pain we see businesses experience stem from credential management. Simply put, many cyber exploits like credential stuffing (brute force attacks), Dictionary attacks, and even internal threats, could have be thwarted by effective password management. So pulling powerful tools together such as a good password manager, 2FA authentication, and SSO Have significant power in reducing cyber crime and keeping organizations secure.

The SSO feature as part of the enterprise plan from Bitwarden comes with support for both SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect, which is absolutely necessary for organizations to deploy at scale.

Now of course we must mention that if you are using their cloud hosted option, which we do recommend unless you have conflicting data storage policies, your data is in their hands. Aside from the general risk associated with using 3rd party data hosting, your data is stored in their US or European data centres which will be subject to US and European Privacy and disclosure laws. - If that’s an issue for you.

However, your data is secured with 256-bit encryption before it is sent to their servers which is done over TLS.

Bitwarden is 3rd-party audited, and is SOC Type 2 and SOC 3 certified, which you can view the reports of which on the Bitwarden website.
